It is prevalently used to\nanalyse the pipeline conditions and plan their rehabilitation, insomuch\nas&nbsp; it allows the evaluation of real dimensions, and the identification of\nfractures, intrusions or infiltrations, and eventual illegal connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system\nconsists in motorised colour TV cameras or ones mounted on wire guided\ncarriages provided with a 360 \u00b0 axial&nbsp; rotating head with a 270\u00b0\ntransversal exploration,with adjustable lights for pipeline illumination and\nsystems to detect the \u201cfault\u201d dimensions and pipeline slant. The camera is\nconnected to an external control monitor and the information registered can be\nmemorized on magnetic or digital supports (bearings); when gas pipelines are\ninvolved , the system must be certified<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>non\ndeflagrating while with water pipelines every caution must be applied in order\nto avoid leak occurrence.
